1. Aggressive malignant lesion in right maxillary sinus

The portion of the right maxillary sinus that is visible in the field of view is completely opacified. A dehiscence is present in the lateral wall of the right maxillary sinus, and a soft tissue mass extends through the dehiscence into the buccal region of the right midface. The lesion also extends through the defect in the sinus floor at sites 16 and 17. The posterolateral wall of the sinus remains intact, however, which suggests that the pterygomaxillary region has not been affected. The aggressive lytic pattern of bone loss of the sinus wall is suggestive of an aggressive malignancy, such as a squamous cell carcinoma. Medical imaging of the lesion is indicated in order to identify its boundary.
