1. Dehiscence in anterior mandibular alveolar process secondary to a history of fracture
The anterior mandibular alveolar process exhibits what appears to be a history of fracture. The fracture appears to have extended from teeth 33 to 43. The inferior aspect of the fractured segment has not formed a bony union with the mandibular body, which has resulted in the formation of a linear horizontally oriented bone defect apical to teeth 32 to 43. Soft tissue occupies the defect. Note that the buccolingual width of the alveolar of the alveolar process is extremely reduced in the anterior mandible. The current radiographic appearance represents a healed post-traumatic bone pattern.
