1. Mature periapical cemental dysplasia on tooth 33
Tooth 33 exhibits a mature focus of periapical cemental dysplasia. The radiographic features that support this diagnosis are the amorphous radiopaque internal structure, the radiolucent structure that surrounds it, and the sclerotic periphery. Tooth 33 likely remains vital and does not require endodontic treatment.
Axial views of tooth 33
These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate the normal appearance of tooth 33, as well as the amorphous radiopaque structure of the mature focus of cemental dysplasia in the periapical region of the tooth.
Coronal views of tooth 33
These coronal cross-sectional images demonstrate the maintenance of the periodontal ligament space around the periapical region of tooth 33.
2. Periosteal bone formation on chin implant
Periosteal bone has formed over the chin implant on the buccal surface of the alveolar process in the anterior mandible. This is an incidental finding with no clinical significance.
Sagittal views of tooth 33
These sagittal cross-sectional images demonstrate the localized sclerosis surrounding the cemental dysplasia in the periapical region of tooth 33. Teeth 32 and 34 appear normal radiographically.
3. Periosteal bone formation over chin implant
A chin implant is present on the buccal surface of the mandibular body. Periosteal bone has partially enveloped this prosthesis. This is an incidental finding with no clinical significance.
