Site 11: Inadequate buccolingual bone
A 4x13mm cylinder was overlaid on the adjacent images at site 11. A concavity is present along the buccal aspect of the alveolar process, which reduces the amount of bone available to accommodate regional implant placement. The palatal surface of the proposed implant at site 11 is in close proximity to the incisive canal. Inadequate buccolingual bone exists for this cylinder to be fully embedded at this site without additional bone augmentation.
Site 21: Adequate bone
A 4x13mm cylinder was overlaid on the adjacent images at site 21. Adequate bone exists for implant placement at this site.
Axial views of sites 11 and 21
These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate inadequate buccolingual bone volume to accommodate implant placement at site 11 due to the presence of a buccal concavity and the proximity to the incisive canal. Adequate bone is available at site 21.
High crown-to-root ratio on teeth 12, 11, 21, 22
The maxillary incisors exhibit apical root resorption, which has resulted in a high crown-to-root ratio. This may adversely affect the longevity of these teeth.
1. Maxillary sinus mucositis
Moderate mucositis is present in the right maxillary sinus, and mild mucositis is noted in the left maxillary sinus. This represents an incidental finding with no clinical significance.
