Orthogonal views of site 16
These orthogonal cross-sectional images demonstrate a normal appearance of the residual alveolar bone at site 16. No intraosseous pathology is present.
Clear right maxillary sinus
The right maxillary sinus is clear. There are no impediments to a potential right maxillary sinus lift.
1. Intracranial calcification in left temporal lobe: Medical referral indicated
An ill-defined area of calcification is present within the left temporal lobe in the region of the temporal pole, located posterolateral to the left superior orbital fissure. No osseous abnormalities are noted within the contiguous skull base. Medical referral is indicated to determinate the nature of this region of calcification.
Axial views of anterior and middle cranial fossa
These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate the diffuse area of calcification posterolateral to the left superior orbital fissure. No evidence of asymmetry is present between the right and left superior orbital fissures.
Coronal views of middle cranial fossa
These coronal cross-sectional images demonstrate a normal appearance of the osseous borders of the sphenoid bone adjacent to the area of intracranial calcification within the left temporal pole.
2. Calcifications in left parotid gland
Multiple calcifications are present within the left parotid gland. These may reflect sialoliths or calcifications within the intraparotid lymph nodes. The gland should be assessed clinically for evidence of obstruction.
3. Mild cervical degenerative joint disease
Small osteophytes and mild subchondral sclerosis are present in the articular regions of the atlas and dens of the cervical vertebrae. This is a common incidental finding with no clinical significance that is suggestive of mild cervical degenerative joint disease.
4. Elongated styloid processes
The styloid processes are elongated bilaterally. This is an incidental finding with no significance.
