These are 3D printed guides that are created in CAD/CAM software, using 3D x-ray data, and 3D surface models of your jaw. The reason you would want this is that the planning for your implant surgery can be done on a computer digitally, in order to assess what would be the best treatment option for you. Once we have the plan on the computer, we use the 3D printed surgical guide to accurately execute the surgical plan for the placement of your implant.
